Shaping the Future - Sustainability, Cooperation and Culture

Following last year's Summer School "Global Perspectives on Sustainable Urban Development" in Jakarta, Indonesia, we now invite Indonesian students from the Universitas Pembangunan Jaya to Cologne to further develop our shared perspectives on sustainability, cultural exchange, urban life and international cooperation. The programme is open to students from UPJ and the University of Cologne.

The students will explore topics of urban sustainability, international cooperation and cultural exchange in and around Cologne. There will be a mix of lectures, workshops and study trips on each of the three thematic pillars. Please see the preliminary programme for a more detailed overview.

Dates: 5th to 22nd August 2024

Place: Cologne

Costs: Participation is free. Some costs may occur (see below)

Participants: 10 students from Universitas Pembangunan Jaya, 5 students from the University of Cologne

Information for applicants from Universitas Pembangunan Jaya

The Summer School is supported with 900€ per person for flights by Cologne Summer Schools / Santander. Accomodation and participation for UPJ students are free. Visa fees have to be paid by the participants. The language of instruction is English. Participation in the previous Summer School is advantageous, but not a prerequisite.
